In 2015 I started my own fee-only financial planning business after over 30 years providing financial services and guidance to business owners, individuals and families through a major bank in Chicago. Stanton Financial Planning, LLC is dedicated to providing individuals and business owners with what they are looking for most - a trusted, objective advisor with no products to sell or hidden agendas. I do what’s best for the client – not what is best for some salesperson looking to meet their sales quota.
While I am a sole practioner, I am not alone in my practice. As a member of the Alliance of Comprehensive Planners (ACP), I am proud to apply the time-tested financial planning approach developed through the collective wisdom of its membership: a core group of highly credentialed and experienced financial planners who support each other professionally. ACP members include CPA, CFA, CFP, PhD and Attorneys, with practice experts across the spectrum of the financial planning process.
I received my BA from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and a Masters in Business Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago and CFP certification through DePaul University.
I am very involved in my community and profession. I am currently a board member with the Alliance of Comprehensive Planners (ACP) and serve on the finance committee of my parish church. I recently completed two terms as a Board member and Finance committee chair for Smith Senior Living, a local continuing care community with two locations in the Chicagoland area; and in the recent past have been co-chair for a fundraising campaign for the Beverly Arts Center and served as President of the Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA).
While not all of facets of my financial future are worry-free (my wife and I are empty nesters with four kids (that we still worry about!) I would welcome the opportunity to show you how I can help you with your financial future!
